When we were finished lunch he had found a shop and a selection of items for me to pick out. I was literally only in the shop 5 minutes and found the perfect gift, and then we were on our way.

I left my phone is the car when we were dropped off in Galway. We contacted the company and Gerry returned it the next day. That was a problem solved quickly and efficiently.

Also, my wife mentioned she had a second cousin who visited the U.S. in the early 60’s. That night Gerry partnered with his wife and found out what we needed to know, called us with the contact information needed and we had tea at her cousin’s home the next day. Thrilled does not describe my wife’s emotion at seeing her cousin for the first time in 57 years!

I would give Gerry a medal in customer service for doing this because tea and a catch-up chat at her home was the highlight of our holiday. When we return to Galway we will be using this company for sure!

Somehow, William created this sense of spaciousness with time–never rushed. He was a safe driver and a caring one. My ancestors are from County Sligo and we got to see the actual property (just land now) where they lived and William appreciated what a moment it was for me. He knew a lot about Irish history and about the country/towns we saw and so the experience was enriching in that way too. Mostly, he was a smart, funny and responsible person. It was a pleasure to spend the day with him. We got so much more out the day than if we’d driven ourselves. (And we didn’t have to deal with the stress of driving on the other side of the road!)
